I think one important function groups like yours provide is connection and possibly a certain grounding as well.

The only persons I know in your group are yourself (now) and my sister Indira.

My blog www.CitizenzNews.com is what you could call an advocate blog. Where the goal is to inform but also to motivate towards action.

I would love to explore with you folks the possibility of how we can replicate this book reading practice in other areas, possibly starting with the large cities. Even Aranmula Panchayat where I live could support a book reading or creative writing group.

We have on CitizenzNews a review of a book by C. Balagopal. It's title is "On a Clear Day You Can See India".

Bala is both a friend and business associate. He is an IAS officer who left early and segued into a career as entrepreneur. He has written two books so far. The first is his entertaining account of his life as an IAS rookie in Manipur. The second book which I am currently reading is the inside view of an IAS officers life in Kollam.

Since Bala is in Ernakulam, he may be willing to read from one of his books at one of your get together. Take a look at my review of his book on Manipur and let me know if you would like to explore a discussion of his book?Editor, www.CitizenzNews.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14714176819828115439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314153999433039559.post-86202480978710128052018-11-11T14:50:54.597+05:302018-11-11T14:50:54.597+05:30Dear Joe,
